TFS at King’s Covenant International

Great fun and learning at KCIC Entrepreneurship Summit on Saturday 26th May 2018!

The youths were so engaging and the environment supercharged with possibilities under the able leadership of the church pastors, Pastors Dele-Ofik and Esther Dele-Ofik and the Youth President Bro. Paul.

Key take-aways

Entrepreneurship is the process of designing, launching and running a new business, which is often initially a small business. It is the capacity and willingness to develop, organize and manage a business venture along with the attendant risks in order to make a profit. Necessity is the mother of invention!. What keeps you awake? Irritates you? Excites you?
The urge or burning desire to make something better or solve a problem is the fuel for entrepreneurship.

Purpose guides everything we do. It has been said severally that when the purpose of a thing is not known, abuse is inevitable. some people have time on their hands right now but they are wasting it, simply because they don’t understand the purpose. Some have money but spending it because they haven’t understood purpose. If you understand that your purpose is to build cathedrals, hospitals, evangelize, you will save that money and not spend it anyhow. You will maximise every opportunity.
We need to learn to ask questions. Ask your maker. Ask the manual, the Bible. Sit down, and ask yourself! WHY AM I HERE?

A key pointer is your joy. Find time to do the things that bring you joy! Be passionate about something. You are unique.

Entrepreneurship is not for everyone. Know yourself. If you don’t have the time and interest, skills, and leading; you may be better off investing in a business which someone else is running. Passive investments like shares, bonds, mutual funds, treasury bills and related investment. Not MMM, please!

Decisions decide destiny. The difference between you yesterday and you today are the decisions you have made. The difference between you NOW and you in 10 years time will be the decisions you make. According to Reverend Sam Adeyemi, the difference between where you are and where you want to be is DIA. Decision. Information. Action. You have to decide. Get pertinent information. And take focused consistent action in the direction of your dreams!

Financing your dream/future starts with you! Whose responsibility is it to fund your dreams if you eat your seed? Sweat equity is what all of us have been blessed with. It may be brains, beauty or brawn. Question is, what are you using yours to do? when will you start using your talents and gifts?

When something doesn’t align with your decision/purpose, you quit doing it. Why? Because it is a waste of time, energy and resources.

To live a passionate life in destiny, the time is NOW. Like Nike says, ‘Just do it’!
